Expanded Services:
Adaptation to ever changing life circumstances doesn't only apply to our youth. The passages through the lifespan and the challenges each presents affect all generations. Therapy with youth includes therapy with their parents. Therapy with adults can include their children and/or their parents, etc. For years, the Skokie office has included an ADULT practice. Dr. Goldstein has recently associated with Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities as well, truly completing the life cycle as seniors too must cope with change.

Evaluation and Treatment
Problems are not the problem. Finding solutions is the challenge. And make them as individualized as necessary. There is no "right way", "normal way", or "what other people do". Evaluating each person, each family, each relationship and each situation directs all subsequent treatment. What are the needed skill sets? What are the available resources? Who shares the vision? Where is the resistance? Psychological factors. Biological factors. Environmental factors. Interpersonal factors. "How do we get there from here"? Understand the problem. Brainstorm solutions. Try one out and reevaluate its success. Repeat, etc.
